About POLAR MOHR

The Adolf Mohr Machine Factory was founded in 1906 in Hofheim am Taunus as a mechanical workshop and initially manufactured machines for the regional wood industry. Starting in 1946, Karl and Rudolf Mohr developed cutting machines, which have been sold under the POLAR brand since 1947; over 125,000 machines have since been delivered. The company manufactures hydraulic high-performance cutting machines (MOHR Cutter), three-sided cutting machines, jogging and feeding systems, as well as automated labeling systems with integrated robot. The portfolio is complemented by the cutting program software Compucut®, consumables via the Mohr Shop, as well as customer service, maintenance, and technical training. In 2023, SOL Capital Management acquired the company (POLAR Cutting Technologies GmbH); in 2025, POLAR became a HEIDELBERG brand, and activities transferred to Heidelberg Postpress Deutschland GmbH. The development and production site is Hofheim/Ts., and distribution is worldwide via sales and service partners.
