Who we are

HEIMAT DISTILLERS is a craft distillery founded in 2018 in Schwaigern (Baden-Württemberg), operated by Heimat GbR with its partners Marcel Eßlinger, Raphael Heiche and Rouven Richter. The starting point in 2017 was the development of an own gin recipe, inspired by the family background: Rouven's father runs a distillery already in its fifth generation. The distillery is located in a converted former natural stone works in Schwaigern-Niederhofen, which also houses a shop open Wednesday to Friday. The product portfolio includes HEIMAT Dry Gin and Barrel Aged Dry Gin, RAMERO Rum (reportedly the first rum made from German sugarcane) in several cask variants, ready-to-drink cocktails for the hospitality industry, liqueurs, distillates, aperitif as well as non-alcoholic spirits (0.0% ABV). In addition to distillation, the value chain includes cask maturation in the own rum cask warehouse, blending and bottling. Visitors can tour the distillery between Wednesday and Friday; tastings, rum blending and private cask workshops are offered as well as events such as the distillery festival.
