About Heimatinitiative Münstertal e.V.
The Heimatinitiative Münstertal e.V. is a registered association based at Wasen 47 in Münstertal (Black Forest), dedicated to the preservation and documentation of historical mining in the Münstertal valley. The association's website provides information on the development of mining in the valley up to the end of the 18th century, the oldest written record of which is a charter by Emperor Conrad II dating from 1028. The association is the provider and responsible party for the website; its operational environment is the Münstertal Museum, in which numerous exhibits on mining history are displayed. In addition, the association occasionally offers volunteer-guided excursions on historical mining or to St. Trudpert's Monastery. It is not a manufacturing operation, but a sponsor of heritage-preservation and museum work in the fields of historical mining and museology.
