Heinerle-Berggold Schokoladen GmbH is a confectionery manufacturer based in Pößneck, Thuringia, whose roots go back to the chocolate and cocoa factory Robert Berger, founded in 1876. The company produces chocolate goods, jelly articles, pralines, confectionery and seasonal products as well as private labels for the retail trade. Known products include jelly bananas, jelly pineapples, jelly pears, jelly apricots, jelly berries, coconut flakes, candy pearls and crispy rice. Agar-agar is used as the gelling agent; the products use natural colours and flavours. Production, administration and a factory outlet with company exhibition are located at the Pößneck site. The products are exported to more than 30 countries. Since 2003 the company has been certified to IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (British Retail Consortium). In 2017, Heinerle Spiel- und Süßwaren GmbH Bamberg merged with Schokoladenwerk Berggold GmbH to form the present company.
