Mechanical engineering from Bremen – packaging and automation from a single source
Heino Ilsemann GmbH is a family-owned company headquartered in Bremen that develops, designs and manufactures packaging machines as well as complete packaging lines, primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. The product portfolio comprises blister machines for solid products (tablets, oblongs, capsules) and liquid products (syringes, bottles, ampoules), horizontal and vertical cartoners, film wrapping machines, feeding and transport systems, case packers and palletizers. Under the ILSEMANN AUTOMATION brand, the company also manufactures highly dynamic take-off systems, IML systems and assembly systems for the plastics industry, which consist predominantly of welded steel frames and use moving components made in-house from carbon fiber (CFRP). In addition, ILSEMANN CARBON supplies designed CFRP components with engineering-grade tolerances, among other things for mechanical engineering, aerospace and medical technology. The services range from feasibility studies to concept and process development, prototype construction and project management through to design qualification and IQ/OQ/PQ. Around 300 employees supply more than 500 customers in over 70 countries; locations exist in Bremen (production), Charlotte/USA (sales and service North/South America) and San José/Costa Rica (sales and service South/Central America).

Materials and processes
Steel
Welded steel frames form the foundation for precision and robustness throughout the entire service life of every single system.
Carbon fiber (CFRP)
Moving components such as grippers and take-off systems are manufactured in-house from carbon fiber, reducing weight and increasing stability.
Plastics
Thermoplastics are processed for injection-molded and IML products such as cups, lids and closures.
