Heinrich Meier Mühle & Futtermittelhandel GmbH & Co. KG is a fourth-generation family company based in Hille in East Westphalia-Lippe. Since 1897, the business has been producing feed, originally starting with baking flour and livestock feed production for the region. Today the product range includes compound feed, mineral feed, supplementary feed and speciality feed for dogs, horses, rodents and poultry, made from around 300 different raw materials. Processing takes place in the company's own mill in flour form, as pellets or in various extruded shapes – from standard feed to treats, cornflakes, fruit kibbles and special blends. Wherever possible, domestic raw materials such as grain and maize from local agriculture as well as soy from German cultivation are used; since 1.1.2011, exclusively GMO-free goods in accordance with EU-VO 1829/2003 and 1830/2003 have been processed. In addition to producing its own brands, the company offers private-label manufacturing, in which feed is individually adapted, packaged and delivered to customer specifications.
