About Thulesius
Heinrich Thulesius GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1949 and has been a 100% subsidiary of the Sumitomo Electric Group since 2011. The Bremen-based company sells heat-shrink products (SUMITUBE®, SUMISEAL®), cables and wires, cable ties, electrical insulation and protection sleeves, and SUMiTAG marking systems. The heat-shrink sleeves are produced predominantly by the parent group in Germany (Norderstedt, Wedel) as well as in Japan, the USA, China and Taiwan; Thulesius' own manufacturing focuses on flat ribbon and UL wires. An in-house cutting and printing service cuts shrink sleeves to size and prints them, including thermal transfer printing of cable markers using the SUMiTAG system. The products made of polyolefin, PTFE, PVDF, elastomer, Viton, PVC, PUR, silicone, glass fibre and PA 6.6 cover temperature ranges from -75 to +260 °C and serve to protect and insulate cables and components. Customers come from mechanical engineering, automotive, medical, food, rail, aviation and military technology; customers are supplied throughout Europe and Africa.
