Heinrich van Megen GmbH & Co. KG (HVM Coatings) has been developing and producing paints in Kempen since 1924. The product portfolio includes industrial coatings under the brands MEGENAX®, MEGENOL® and DURALMIT®, basecoat/tinting systems as well as corrosion protection paints that protect products against aggressive environmental influences and deliver gloss, color and effects. Every day, customers apply the industrial coatings to around 18,000 m² of surface; in addition, customers spray approximately 2,000 vehicles daily with MEGACOLOR automotive refinish paints for passenger cars. The refinish paints are sold exclusively through trade partners under private label: HVM produces, the trade partner handles distribution. The development of new, sustainable products takes place in the company's own laboratory by a team consisting of a paint engineer, a chemist and paint laboratory technicians. The family-owned company supplies customers in Germany.
