About the Berger Gruppe
Heinz Berger Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, collectively known as the Berger Gruppe, develops and manufactures at its headquarters in Wuppertal-Cronenberg CNC grinding machines for individual workpieces, steel strip grinding machines, polishing machines and robot-assisted grinding and polishing systems. The portfolio also includes machines for chip-forming processing of steel strip, profile generating centres and automation solutions such as sorters, handling technology and measuring technology for inline inspection. Built since 1957, the programme comprises over 100 different types of CNC grinding machines and more than 1,100 implemented robot applications. The materials processed are mainly steel, steel strip, tool steel and copper strip. Customers include industries such as the automotive, surgical, machine knife, razor blade, cutlery, tool and tube industries as well as steel processing and the foundry industry. Further locations are Wülfrath (Julius Maschinenbau) and a subsidiary in the USA; representation exists worldwide. Services include check-up, upgrade of CNC controls and measuring technology as well as mechanical overhaul of existing systems.
