About Heliatek
Heliatek GmbH, headquartered in Dresden, develops, produces and distributes organic solar films under the product name HeliaSol. The company developed its organic photovoltaic materials entirely in-house and established the first mass production facility for organic solar films at its Dresden site. On a production area of 5,000 square meters, the facility is intended to produce up to 2,000,000 square meters of HeliaSol per year in the coming years. The films are extremely lightweight and flexible and can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces without drilling, including roofs, facades and curved surfaces. According to the company, HeliaSol is the only commercially available and IEC-certified organic solar solution and offers a certified 20-year performance guarantee. The manufacturing process avoids limited raw materials and rare earth elements. In addition to its main site in Dresden, Heliatek operates a site in Ulm for the development of organic substances. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015; more than 75 installations have been completed worldwide.
