About HELIOPLANT®
HELIOPLANT® develops and realizes photovoltaic systems for high-alpine locations. The team of experts in geology, natural hazards, wind and snow mechanics, structural design, photovoltaics and electrical engineering has developed a patented cross-structure system (International Registration No. DM/234443) that remains snow-free through wind turbulence and enables year-round energy generation, even in winter. The tree-shaped PV elements with bifacial modules can be flexibly positioned in the terrain, minimize interference with flora and fauna, and, thanks to optimized foundations and a high degree of prefabrication, reduce planning, material, foundation and assembly costs. The services cover the entire value chain, from site potential analysis through submission and building application, detailed design and structural engineering, to material procurement, construction management and installation, including DC/AC energy conversion and energy transmission to the valley. Building on experience from what was then Europe's highest photovoltaic installation on the Wildkogl (2009) and the installation on the Pitztal Glacier (2015), the first HELIOPLANT® installations have been under construction since autumn 2023 in Austria (Sölden glacier ski area) and Switzerland (Gondosolar).
