About Hemme Milch
Hemme Milch GmbH & Co. KG operates an agricultural family business with an affiliated dairy in Schmargendorf near Angermünde. Around 600 dairy cows live on the farm, whose feed is mostly (target: 90 percent) produced on-site; in addition, the company works with four regional dairy farms. Every day, around 33,000 liters of milk are processed – into whole milk, semi-skimmed milk, buttermilk, yogurt, pudding, drinking milk beverages such as vanilla and chocolate milk, iced coffee, block butter and porridge. The products are filled into pouches and cups, among others with a fill quantity of 600 g/600 ml. Distribution, order taking (milk phone, online shop) and delivery in the Uckermark and Berlin region are handled in-house. The farm includes a farm café with a milk shop, guided farm tours, an event venue for up to 120 people and a maize labyrinth. The site is located in the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve; the company is working on climate-neutral production and operates solar systems on its roof surfaces.
