About us
HEMMI KAFFEE AG is a traditional coffee roastery based in Geroldswil in the Zurich Limmat Valley. The third-generation family business sources annually around 16'000 bags of green coffee, predominantly premium Arabicas from the highland regions of South and Central America as well as Robustas from Java, from long-standing partner companies in the growing regions. The refinement is carried out using the gentle drum roasting method at approx. 200 °C for 15–20 minutes, based on old recipes; the green coffees are cleaned three times before the roasting process and individual provenances are roasted separately. With more than 25 coffee blends as well as specialities such as Bio Havelaar, Galapagos Arabica, Bonga Forest wild coffee, Hawaii Kau or Jamaica Blue Mountain, the roastery serves gastronomy, hotels, collective and large-scale consumers, offices, retirement and care homes as well as hospitals, and exports worldwide. The range is complemented by tea imports and coffee accessories; the Ticino subsidiary MORESI-KAFFEE AG supplies speciality blends "all'italiana".
