About Hemstedt
Hemstedt GmbH was founded in 1974 in Brackenheim near Stuttgart and is a second-generation family business with around 60 employees. The company develops and produces electrical heating systems: heating conductors, heating cables, heating tapes and heating hoses as bulk goods by the meter, thin-bed heating mats and energy storage heating mats (GREEN ACCU MAT) for floor heating as well as products for cold storage room technology such as anti-frost heating mats, control boxes, pressure equalization valves and emergency alarm systems. Manufacturing takes place entirely in Germany on an area of around 17,000 m² in six halls. Insulation materials are silicone, PVC, PTFE, FEP, PFA and PE, with protective braids made of V2A (1.4301) or nickel-plated copper; applications range from -70 °C to +750 °C. Customers come from building services, cold storage room technology, agriculture/viticulture, industry and trade, sports facilities, the chemical industry as well as aircraft and shipbuilding. Deliveries are made throughout Europe, to the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Turkey, South Africa, Uruguay and China.

Quality and Certification
Every heating cable undergoes fully automatic function and heat-up tests, resistance and high-voltage tests as well as insulation resistance measurements during ongoing production; test data and production history are traceable via the serial number for 10 years. External testing bodies such as DEKRA, UL and VDE carry out annual unannounced inspections and take material samples from ongoing production.
