Henkel Polybit Industries is a manufacturer of construction chemicals headquartered in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates, and belongs to the Henkel Group, whose Adhesive Technologies business unit encompasses the construction chemicals division. The portfolio comprises six main categories: Waterproofing, Sealants, Mortars and Auxiliaries, Tile Fixing Systems, Flooring Systems and PU Foams. The company manufactures, among other things, torch-applied elastomeric bitumen waterproofing membranes (Bituplus Ultra), fully bonded self-adhesive HDPE bitumen membranes (Bitustick), acrylic coatings for PU foam roofs (Polycryl PF) and fire-retardant acrylic coatings (Polycryl FR). In addition, system solutions are offered, for example for foundation waterproofing, thermal insulation with roof waterproofing, tiling in wet areas and pools, as well as flooring in interior spaces, parking garages and industrial floors. Historically, the business is based on Henkel's construction chemicals tradition: in 1898 the first bitumen waterproofing was patented, and in 1906 CERESIT was invented. In 2005 Henkel Polybit was acquired as the company's entry into the Middle East.
