Henkes Lack Union GmbH, based in the Wesel district of Lackhausen on the Lower Rhine, develops and produces specialty products for the surface protection of machines, plants and buildings. The product range includes primers and rust protection, topcoats, gear coatings, commercial vehicle coatings, floor coatings, functional coatings as well as the antimicrobial mineral interior coating system Makrosil against mould. In addition to in-house development in its own laboratory, the company offers contract manufacturing of solvent-based and water-thinnable liquid and pasty preparations – from production through testing, filling, labelling and palletizing to picking and shipping. As a contract manufacturer for large industrial companies, it serves small and medium batches as well as special developments; colour matching in small quantities and express deliveries are also part of the service. Customers come from mechanical and plant engineering, construction, commercial vehicle manufacturing and agriculture. A cooperation with the Finnish Tikkurila Group has existed since 2004. The company looks back on a corporate history dating back to 1809 and operates on a company site of approx. 6,100 m² in Wesel.
