HENSOLDT is a European technology company in the defence and security sector, headquartered in Taufkirchen near Munich. The company develops mission-critical sensor solutions, optronics, defence electronics and integrated systems for the domains of land, air, sea, cyber and space. Its systems are used worldwide on aircraft, ships, submarines, vehicles, satellites and unmanned platforms. The portfolio includes airborne surveillance radars, ESM and SIGINT systems, self-protection systems, ground-based air defence, vehicle optronics as well as tactical and navigation radars and submarine systems. In addition, HENSOLDT offers lifecycle-accompanying services such as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), training via the HENSOLDT Academy, simulation, software maintenance and test laboratory services for EMC and environmental simulation. In the 2025 fiscal year, the company generated revenue of around €2.46 billion with approximately 9,500 employees; it is listed in the MDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Quality and Certifications

HENSOLDT subjects its products, from development through to qualification, to rigorous testing procedures for electromagnetic compatibility and environmental resistance, with its own test laboratories in Ulm and Oberkochen. Regular audits in accordance with EN 9100:2018 ensure the effectiveness of quality management across the entire supply chain.

History

1. HENSOLDT looks back on a tradition of more than 125 years and originally emerged from former Airbus activities in defence and security electronics; later, further defence companies joined the group.
