About Herberholz

Herberholz develops and manufactures in its own manufactory in Ennepetal special valves for shut-off, throttling and control of gaseous media in nominal sizes from 25 mm to 3,200 mm valve diameter. The portfolio includes soft-sealing butterfly valves, safety quick-closing shut-off valves according to EN 161 Class A as well as throttle and control valves for exhaust gases with temperatures up to 1,100 °C. For flexible material use, high-alloy stainless steels such as 1.4571, 1.4828 and 1.4841, structural steels, cast steel (EN-JS 1030, EN-JS 1049) as well as seals made of graphite, ceramics and elastomers such as NBR, FPM, EPDM and PTFE are processed. Depending on the material selection, the valves are suitable for use with up to 100 % hydrogen. The valves are automated with pneumatic and electric actuators according to DIN EN ISO 5211. The products are used primarily in industrial furnace construction, the steel industry, industrial combustion technology as well as in mechanical and plant engineering; engineering offices and plant builders are also supported in technical application and specification.

Quality

The valves are tested according to DIN EN 12266 (leakage rate A) and, as a combination with actuator, are certified according to EN 161 Class A, DVGW and according to IEC 61508/61511 up to SIL 2 (redundant SIL 3).
