Herbert Birnbaum GmbH is a family business founded in 1847 with over 170 years of tradition in the manufacture of bread proofing baskets and bakery equipment. The product range comprises around 125 proofing basket and bread mould types made of rattan cane, which has been processed for over 100 years, made of plastic (PP), and newly developed moulds made of BIO plastic based on renewable raw materials. Round, oval, square and long standard shapes, sliced bread moulds, moulds in linked arrangements as well as custom special shapes and engravings with customer logo, signature or motif are offered. The products are designed for bread weights from 0.2 kg to over 5.0 kg and serve the dough piece as support and shape as well as giving the finished bread its characteristic basket pattern. Customers are the bakery trade, medium-sized baked goods companies and industrial baked goods production; delivery is worldwide. According to its own statements, the company has been the market leader in Germany in the manufacture of proofing baskets for many years; all products are manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany).
