About WirGlas

WirGlas (Herbert Wirnshofer – Glas & Spiegel Bearbeitung) has been manufacturing and processing glass and mirrors since 1984 for customers from industry, trade and the private sector. The product range includes small-format cuts in thicknesses of 1 to 5 mm – rectangular from approx. 3×3 mm, round from approx. 8 mm diameter, as well as freeform shapes, segment arcs and cut-outs. Processing services include grinding, drilling and countersinking, milling as well as sandblasting/satin finishing, plus edge processing from deburring to beveling and polishing. Materials processed include float glass, flat mirrors, optically anti-reflective glass (SIFLEX AR T98, CONTURAN Magic) and chrome-coated front-surface mirrors; furthermore concave and convex mirrors (magnifying and reducing mirrors) with silver or chrome coatings. Production ranges from one-off pieces to small and large series, including mirror mosaics and mirror objects from in-house production. The site is located at Am Graben 2 in Weiding in the Upper Palatinate.

Materials & Processing Methods

FL

Float glass 1–5 mm

Base material for rectangular, round and freeform cuts.

PS

Flat mirror 2–5 mm

Flat mirror for small-format cuts and mosaic surfaces.

SIFLEX AR T98

Optically anti-reflective glass, 3 mm

For applications without disturbing double reflections.

CONTURAN Magic

Optically anti-reflective glass, 3 mm

Anti-reflective glass for displays and technical applications.

VF-Chrom

Chrome-vaporized front-surface mirror, 2 mm

99.5% chrome, reflectance 55–60%, partially light-transmissive, also suitable for light tunnels.

KONK-SI

Concave caps with silver coating

Magnifying mirrors with curvature radii of 400, 600 and 800 mm.

KONV-CR/SI

Convex caps with chrome or silver coating

Reducing mirrors with curvature radius of 315 mm (chrome) or 1100, 1400, 2000 mm (silver).
