Herbertz GmbH & Co. KG is a machine knife manufacturer based in Remscheid, whose origins date back to 1925. The company manufactures high-quality machine knives, including circular paper knives, long knives, band knives, circular saw blades and skiving knives, for the paper, wood, plastics, food and steel industries. Manufacturing is carried out partly on CNC-controlled machining centres from high-quality tool steels; the knives are then hardened and tempered in vacuum or conventionally, and ground on high-precision grinding machines. Every knife undergoes a thorough final inspection with modern measuring equipment before leaving the factory. The products are used worldwide; long-standing partnerships, including with F.A. Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG and Feldmann's Singende Säge, complement the customer portfolio. According to the company, production in summer 2026 will run on 100 % green electricity.
