Mixing systems, vessels and electrical engineering from a single source
Herbst Metalltechnik manufactures industrial mixers, agitators, stainless steel vessels and complete systems with temperature control and automation in Buxtehude near Hamburg. The company combines mixing technology, metalworking as contract manufacturing (laser cutting, forming, CNC machining, welding), vessel construction from about 2 to 10,000 litres, and electrical engineering with control, sensor and safety technology including ATEX for Ex areas under one roof. Materials are steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Industries served include chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food. In its own technical centre, stirring trials have been carried out on the real product since 2008; research projects are conducted with the Fraunhofer IPK and the DIL on behalf of the federal government. To date, more than 4,028 mixing and stirring systems have been delivered worldwide, including to New Zealand, the USA and Asia; spare parts are also reproduced for older systems.
