About us

Hermann Medizintechnik GmbH is a family-run medical technology company founded in 1961 by Hans Hermann in Fridingen an der Donau, with more than 90 employees. The company manufactures surgical instruments for laparoscopy, arthroscopy, urology, hysteroscopy, electrosurgery, neurosurgery and plastic surgery, endoscopic devices, and titanium implant systems for cranio-maxillofacial, mandibular, radius, hand and foot applications. As early as 1969, the company began manufacturing surgical hard metal scissors as the second manufacturer worldwide and the first in Europe. The entire value chain – from development through CNC turning and CNC milling with up to 7 axes, heat treatment, laser welding, surface finishing and assembly – is carried out in-house at the Fridingen site in southern Germany, without any external services. In addition to its own product range, the company offers OEM and contract manufacturing. Customers in over 50 countries on all six continents are supplied; a sales office in Neuhausen am Rheinfall manages international sales.
