Hermann Mohn GmbH & Co. KG (Hermo-Beschlag) manufactures light-metal fittings for doors and windows at its Velbert location. The family business, founded in 1924 and now in its fourth generation, produces everything in-house: from casting through machining on modern machinery and CNC technology as well as robot-assisted grinding to assembly and packaging. Materials are light metals, predominantly aluminium. In addition to its standard range of door and window fittings, locks, gate hinges, floor bolts and stops, the company offers custom combinations, bespoke productions and colour options. History
- 1924
Founded by manufacturer Hermann Mohn on Langenbergerstraße in Velbert.
- 1946
Son Walter and daughter Kläre took over the business and expanded the product range with many new designs of door and window fittings.
3rd generation: Walter's daughter Renate and her husband Josef Kohlmann took over the management and built up Plant 2 in the Röbbek industrial estate, Bunsenstraße 3 – still the company's location today.
- 2006
Björn Kohlmann took over the family business and made the products of Hermo-Beschlag known beyond Germany's borders.
