heroal – Johann Henkenjohann GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company founded in 1874 and managed by its owners, with around 900 employees. The company develops and produces aluminium system solutions for roller shutters, sun protection, roller doors, windows, doors, façades and canopies at its German sites in Verl and Hövelhof. Production includes roll forming and extrusion of aluminium profiles, foam filling of double-walled roller shutter slats, in-house powder coating (heroal SD), and system manufacturing including small parts production, sample construction and a testing centre. The material used is predominantly aluminium with up to 85% recycled content from recycling loops, complemented by aluminium composites, stainless steel, plastic insulating bars, glass and textile fabrics. The portfolio is aimed at residential and commercial construction, new builds and renovations; products are distributed exclusively through a network of more than 3,500 specialist partners worldwide, including Europe, North America and Australia.
