Heron Innovations Factory GmbH, based in Dornbirn, Austria, is a family-owned company founded in 1987 by Christian Beer and owner-managed to this day. The original core business was the development and construction of custom assembly automation systems with the goal of delivering turnkey systems from a single source. Today, the company brings five independently operating subsidiaries under one roof, whose core competencies lie in CNC manufacturing, in joining, conveying and profile technology based on a seamless automation modular system, and in the development and complete implementation of intralogistics systems with intelligent transport robots. Heron Innovations Factory acts as a service provider and innovation driver for its subsidiaries and handles R&D activities, controlling, personnel and product development as well as financial services. Its customers are hidden champions and global players; the company operates worldwide. Another focus is apprentice training in electrical engineering, mechanical and machining technology, and engineering design.
