About Herrmann Ultraschall
Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik GmbH & Co. KG is a mechanical engineering company founded in 1961 by Walter Herrmann, headquartered in Karlsbad (Baden-Württemberg). The company develops and manufactures ultrasonic welding machines and systems as well as ultrasonic generators, converters and sonotrodes (welding tools). The process joins thermoplastic plastics, nonwovens and packaging with thermoplastic sealing layers as well as non-ferrous metals without adhesives, screws or an external heat source — the joining zone is heated in a targeted manner by ultrasonic vibrations. The systems are developed application-specifically via the Herrmann Engineering division and integrated into production lines and robotic cells. Main customers are the automotive, packaging, hygiene, medical, electronics, battery and consumer sectors as well as automation. In addition to its main plant in Karlsbad, the family-owned company operates technology centers in the USA, China and Japan as well as in more than 20 countries in total.
