About HERZOG
HERZOG GmbH is an owner-managed, independent family company based in Oldenburg that builds braiding and winding machines for highly complex braiding applications. Founded in 1861 by August Herzog in Wuppertal, the company evolved from a manufacturer of machines for cords, braids, elastic laces, shoe straps and ropes into a specialist for custom braiding and winding solutions, among other things for medical technology. The portfolio includes tailor-made braiding and winding machines, individual machine solutions and modifications as well as related software. Services include spare parts supply, also for old machines – standard parts such as bobbins or thread tension springs are delivered within 24 hours – as well as ex-stock sales of new machines. A total of 174,576 machines have been sold worldwide to date; the company employs 152 staff and is active in research and development with 88 registered patents.
