Herzog Stahlhandel GmbH in Calw-Heumaden is a steel wholesaler with an attached specialist retail store for fastening technology, tools and occupational safety. The steel trading business stocks rolled steel (wide flange beams, structural shapes, bar steel, bright steel), heavy and light plate, steel tubes, construction steel, stainless steel and aluminium, delivered cut to size on request. Its capabilities include a sawing line with a hydraulic band saw for straight and miter cuts, hot-dip galvanizing, edge-sharpening service, gas supply, and a delivery service with company-owned trucks. The company serves trades, retail, further processing and construction. Its roots go back to 1889, when Carl Herzog took over an ironware shop in Calw; since 1967 the business has operated a roughly 1000 sqm warehouse in Calw-Heumaden, which has been expanded several times. The company is a member of EDE (Einkaufsbüro Deutscher Eisenhändler GmbH) and is managed by the third generation of the Herzog and Hüsgen families.
