About Heson Diamantfeilen
Heson Diamantfeilen GmbH is a family-run company founded in 1964, now in its third generation, headquartered in Keltern-Dietlingen, Baden-Württemberg. The company manufactures galvanically bonded diamond and boron nitride (CBN) tools, including precision diamond files, rotary grinding pins, grinding rollers, cut-off wheels, dressing diamonds and custom special tools made to drawing. The carriers made of steel or solid carbide (VHM) are produced on in-house CNC lathes; diamond coating takes place in the company's own, digitized and environmentally friendly electroplating facility. In addition, Heson offers re-coating of worn tools, allowing the carrier material to be reused multiple times. The portfolio ranges from one-off production and small batches to series production and serves industries such as tool and mold making, medical technology and stent manufacturing, plastics and ceramics machining, the glass industry, automotive as well as aerospace.

Materials and Processes
Monocrystalline diamond (natural and synthetic industrial diamond)
Hardest known material for grinding, lapping and polishing processes on carbide, ceramics, glass and plastics.
Cubic boron nitride
Second-hardest material, used mainly for hardened, high-alloy ferrous alloys such as tool and bearing steels.
Steel (carrier material)
Carrier material for galvanically bonded diamond and CBN tools.
Solid carbide (carrier material)
Carrier material for high-load rotary precision tools.
Galvanic bonding (diamond coating)
Core element of production; performed since 2010 in a digitized, environmentally friendly electroplating facility.
CNC turning
In-house production of tool carriers made of steel or VHM on CNC lathes.
