About HESS Uhren
HESS Uhren is a small watch manufacture and sole proprietorship based at Wesemlinstrasse 40 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Owners Judith and Walter Hess, together with a watchmaker, produce approximately 100 mechanical wristwatches per year by hand. The two models TWO.1 (automatic winding, second time zone, large date display) and TWO.2 (automatic winding, date display, diamond and diamond dust variants) are made with cases in 750 red gold, on request 750 white gold or surgical-grade stainless steel. Fully Swiss-made ETA movements are used; on the TWO.1, a Technotime module for Grande Date and second time zone is mounted. To refine the rate performance, functional coatings are applied and the case is evacuated and filled with the noble gas argon to reduce oxidation of the lubricants. Leather straps made of CITES-certified crocodile leather are manufactured in Switzerland; alternatively, a Milanese metal bracelet is available. The watches are sold exclusively in the company's own store at Stiftstrasse 4 as well as via insured shipping; in addition, the atelier offers repair, regulation and servicing of mechanical movements.
