About us
Heumann Steinbruch und Schotterwerk in Crailsheim-Satteldorf is an owner-managed family business that has been extracting and processing Crailsheim shell limestone since 1927. The value chain includes overburden removal, drilling and blasting, crushing and processing into grit (2–32 mm), chippings (32–56 mm), sand and grit mixtures, crushed sand, cobbles and squared and layer stones in various layer heights. In addition, limestone flour (agricultural lime with over 75 % lime content) for agriculture as well as natural sand. Since 2023, the sister technology company Schumm Beton has complemented the portfolio with ready-mixed concrete from C12/15 to C35/45 from its own concrete mixing plant, including small quantities from 200 l for self-collection. The products go to construction companies, trades and private customers in road, path and civil engineering, landscaping, and to asphalt and concrete mixing plants.
