About HEUTE + COMP.
HEUTE + COMP. is a processor and finisher of fluoropolymers founded in 1965, headquartered in Radevormwald. The company manufactures technical functional parts from PTFE, PFA, FEP and other high-performance plastics such as PEEK, PCTFE, PVDF, POM, PA and DuPont Vespel SP1 (PI). A special feature is the in-house production of semi-finished products such as tubes, solid rods, blocks, sheets and profiles, which—depending on the raw material type—are manufactured by RAM extrusion or compression moulding followed by sintering. Finishing into highly precise end products is carried out by machining on a machine park with more than 100 production and manufacturing systems operating on a 3-shift system; CNC and cam-controlled automatic machines assemble turned parts. The portfolio includes PFA linings and coatings of metal parts, seals, thread seal rings, PTFE bellows as well as post-processing steps such as grooving and slotting. Customers come from the automotive, chemical, hydraulic, electrical engineering, medical technology, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical and food industries. Since 2018, the company has sourced its electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources.

Materials and Processes
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
Nearly universal chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, good sliding and insulation properties; basis for seals, turned parts and semi-finished products.
PTFE Compounds
With fillers such as bronze, stainless steel, glass fibres, carbon/graphite or molybdenum disulfide, compressive strength and wear resistance, hardness and thermal conductivity are optimised.
PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy Copolymer)
Thermoplastic fluoropolymer for linings and coatings of metal parts with corrosion protection comparable to PTFE.
FEP (Perfluoroethylene-Propylene)
Thermoplastic fluoropolymer for linings and coatings of metal parts.
PEEK
High-performance thermoplastic for technically demanding functional parts.
PCTFE
Partially fluorinated material to round off the processing possibilities.
PVDF
Partially fluorinated material for industrial applications.
POM
Engineering plastic for machined functional parts.
PA
Engineering plastic for machined functional parts.
DuPont™ Vespel® SP1 (PI)
High-performance polyimide for demanding applications.
RAM Extrusion
Process for the production of PTFE, PFA and FEP semi-finished products such as tubes and solid rods in the company's own plant.
Compression moulding with sintering
Process for processing PTFE, PFA and FEP depending on the raw material type.

Additional services
Quality
Raw materials are tested directly upon material receipt using test specimens for elongation at break, tensile strength and ball indentation hardness and are only released for further processing after passing. The recording and evaluation of SPC characteristics ensures process monitoring and high process reliability.
