About Habia
Habia is a specialist group for customized cables, cable harnesses and interconnect systems, formed in 2022 from the merger of HEW-KABEL GmbH in Wipperfürth and Habia Cable AB headquartered in Stockholm. The company develops and manufactures custom specialty cables for applications subject to extreme stresses, for example in robotics, aerospace, defense, marine/offshore, medical technology, sensor technology and industrial automation. The product range extends from miniature cables starting at 0.0125 mm through multicore and telecommunications cables to wired systems (sensor measuring lines, water-blocked cables and electrically trace-heated pipe-in-pipe systems. Exceptionally above-average vertical integration allows Habia to control all influencing factors from cable design and construction geometry through material selection to (re-)certification. The processes include, alongside cable architecture and assembly, electron beam treatment of wires and cables at the Tierp site as well as in-house material development with registered trademarks such as Silindo. With around 1,000 employees at production sites in Germany, Sweden, Poland and China, Habia supplies customers in more than 60 countries.
