About HFTS
HFTS Helicopter Flight Training Services GmbH, headquartered in Hallbergmoos, is a joint venture of Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH, CAE GmbH, Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH and Thales Deutschland GmbH. The company provides services on simulators for the NH90 transport helicopter and operates four full-flight simulators (FFS) with their associated peripheral support systems at three sites in Germany. The simulation technology was developed, built and financed by HFTS and is available to national and international customers. In addition to the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), contracts exist with the defence ministries of New Zealand and Belgium for the training of their NH90 pilots. The services include the provision and maintenance of the training simulators, flight training, and the interconnection of all four simulators for joint scenarios. Since 2008, HFTS has maintained a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
