About HGR Instrumente

HGR Instrumente GmbH is a family business founded in 1992, headquartered in Tuttlingen-Nendingen in the heart of the Tuttlingen medical technology region. Its core competence is the manufacture of surgical instruments, including ENT instruments, ophthalmic instruments, arthroscopy instruments, skin and wound retractors as well as raspatories, dissectors and bone curettes (bone spoons). In addition, the company produces precision CNC turned parts with a maximum diameter of 20 mm. Production includes CNC sliding-headstock lathes, CNC milling machines from Fanuc with robot technology and CNC machining centers; critical production processes such as laser welding, laser marking and final cleaning are validated. The company operates as an OEM and contract manufacturer for distributors and manufacturers in the medical device industry, from small and medium-sized enterprises to international corporations; it does not act as a manufacturer within the meaning of the MDR and sells exclusively to approved distributors. Around 40 employees work at the Sattlerstraße site in Tuttlingen-Nendingen; the products are used in operating rooms worldwide.
