About HKT
Hienz Kunststofftechnik GmbH (HKT) is a medium-sized company headquartered in Amberg. Its core competencies lie in thermoplastic injection molding and the assembly of demanding high-end plastic parts and assemblies with particular requirements for surface finish and transparency – from decorative and transparent parts to design parts and technical components. The range of services covers the entire value chain: project management, feasibility studies and FMEA analysis, design of injection molds, digitization of geometric bodies, 3D Moldflow filling simulation as well as warpage calculations. Production takes place on modern injection molding machines from Krauss Maffei and Arburg with clamping forces of 150 to 650 t; complex parts weighing 10 to 2500 g are produced with automated handling by Kuka and Engel robotics, including in-mold processes. In addition, HKT offers assembly of complete units with laser, vibration and ultrasonic welding, packaging concepts as well as warehousing in the attached logistics unit. Customers come from the automotive industry, medical technology, the household appliance industry, aerosystems and electrical engineering. The company is certified to IATF 16949.
