About hifidom
hifidom is a sole proprietorship based in Garbsen (Lower Saxony) that offers products for fully digital HiFi systems. Its core product is the Digital Sound Controller (DSC8 - MAIN), a USB sound card with TOSLINK outputs that serves as the fully digital counterpart to an AV receiver or amplifier. The card provides four outputs with two channels each, enabling playback from stereo up to 7.1 Surround Sound on digital active loudspeakers that support the SPDIF protocol. This is complemented by accessories such as PCIe slot brackets, adapters, and a starter set known as the "MediaCenter" for installation in a PC case. The company supports its products with services such as FAQs, guides on active loudspeakers, Linux tutorials, and customer surveys for product development. Distribution takes place via an online shop; the website is available in German and English.
