About HIKO
HIKO GmbH, based in Ulm, develops and sells drinking systems for raising calves, lambs and goat kids. Founded in 1936 by Georg Hinterkopf, the company is regarded as the inventor of the drinking bucket and is today run in its third generation by Martin Hinterkopf. The product portfolio includes drinking buckets with 9 and 13 litres volume, drinking bottles, riser tube devices, teats, valves as well as accessories and spare parts, which can be ordered individually. The buckets are made of an environmentally friendly plastic free of CFCs and PVC, are formic acid resistant and available in RAL colours and antibacterial versions; the teats are made of temperature-resistant natural rubber. The patented Click system and the 1-Click valve support hygiene and easy handling. The range is complemented by the Eimiwash cleaning system (partnership) and the Calf Buddy, a cooperation with Milkbar. The products are distributed via specialist, wholesale and retail trade in Germany and are represented at trade fairs such as EuroTier.
