Hinz Kunststoffverarbeitung und Formenbau GmbH in Kiel manufactures thermoformed plastic parts using the vacuum deep drawing process (thermoforming). This process is particularly suitable for new designs, prototypes, pre-series and small series, since deep drawing tools can be produced quickly and modified without great effort. For large-area injection moulding tools, deep drawing represents an inexpensive alternative to injection moulding. Materials processed include plastic sheets made of polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), ABS and PVC, which comply with flammability and construction standards (DIN and UL). The range of services also includes in-house manufacture of deep drawing tools, CNC turning and milling, appearance and functional models, foundry models, GRP processing as well as post-processing such as painting and printing. The parts are used, among other things, in office machines, the electrical industry, automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering, medical technology as well as shipbuilding and rail vehicle construction.
