Hipp Endoskop Service GmbH is a manufacturer of precision endoscopes for industrial and medical applications based in Freiburg im Breisgau. Founded in 1996 by the brothers Alexander and Frank Hipp, both trained surgical mechanics, the company develops and produces rigid endoscopes (FM, HO/HB, Turboskop series), video endoscopes (GT, GX, GM series) as well as accessories such as camera heads, camera systems, LED light sources and light cables. The rigid endoscopes are made of stainless steel with sapphire glass optics, while the video endoscope probes use robust tungsten-braided technology and achieve diameters of 0.78 to 12 mm and working lengths of up to 10 m. In addition to new production, the company offers a brand-independent maintenance and repair service for endoscopes. Customers include specialist retailers, companies and industrial businesses as well as users in medical technology (ENT, orthopedics, urology, surgery, gynecology). Custom-made products according to customer requirements and a quotation within 24 hours round off the range of services.

Frank Hipp gains four years of experience in the USA; Alexander Hipp founds a specialized endoscope shop in Holland; afterwards the company is jointly built up in Freiburg.
