HiProSUN High Protein SunFlower Extraction Meal GmbH, based in Roth (Middle Franconia), is dedicated to the utilisation of sunflower extraction meal as a domestically sourced protein source for the animal feed industry. Sunflower extraction meal is a by-product of sunflower oil production with a high protein content and is available in large quantities in Europe; however, until now its use in animal feed has been limited by its high hull content, crude fibre and structural components. The company's proprietary HiProSUN process is intended to eliminate these technical and feed-science hurdles so that the extraction meal can be converted almost entirely into value-added products for animal nutrition and energy applications. In doing so, the company positions itself as an alternative to partly genetically modified, imported soybean meal from South America. The GmbH is located at Käthe-Kollwitz-Str. 6 in 91154 Roth and communicates in German and English.
