About Hirschen-Getränke Waldkirch

Hirschenbrauerei Waldkirch GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1868 by Karl Klausmann at the Gewerbekanal in Waldkirch and operated as Hirschen-Brauerei until 2021. After 153 years of brewing tradition, brewing operations were discontinued as a result of declining beer sales, rising raw material prices and a drop in revenue during the Corona pandemic. Since then, the company has operated as Hirschen-Getränke: it distributes beers from Hirsch-Brauerei Honer in Wurmlingen as well as non-alcoholic beverages from various suppliers, offers a home delivery service, case deliveries for celebrations and an event service with equipment rental (draft beer systems, cooling vans, beer table sets, glasses). As a logistics partner of Hirsch-Brauerei Honer, the company supplies restaurants and beverage retailers in the region. The site on Goethestraße includes the Gründerzeit-era building from 1904 as well as the Stadtrainsee brewery tavern leased to the Bächle family, with beer garden and lakeside terrace. The discontinuation of the beverage trade was announced as of 30.10.2026.
