About Hirschvogel
The Hirschvogel Group is an internationally active family-owned company headquartered in Denklingen (Upper Bavaria) and ranks among the world's largest manufacturers of massively formed and further processed steel and aluminum components. Its core processes include metal forming (semi-hot and cold forming), machining (turning, gear cutting, hard machining) and induction hardening; in-house toolmaking and engineering services complement the value chain. The components range from powertrain, transmission and chassis parts to body and frame components and are used in passenger cars, trucks, micromobility, bikes and electronic systems. In addition, Hirschvogel develops structural elements such as end plates for battery modules in electric vehicles, made from aluminum, steel or stainless steel. The group operates production sites in Germany (Denklingen, Schongau, Marksuhl), Poland, China, India and Mexico. The company was founded in 1938 through the conversion of a village smithy into an industrial forging operation.

Materials & Processes
Steel
Main material for massively formed powertrain, transmission and chassis components.
Aluminum
Used for forged lightweight components as well as end plates for battery modules.
Stainless steel
Used for structural elements for battery modules.
Induction-hardenable steels
Materials for components such as ball fixed joints, which exhibit high wear resistance after induction hardening.

Quality & Certification
Excellent production quality is evidenced by the Automotive Lean Production Award 2026 for the Marksuhl site; as an automotive supplier for OEMs such as ZF and Daimler, production is subject to the industry-standard series production quality requirements. An in-house quality management system as well as Net-/NearNetShape manufacturing processes ensure the required component properties.
