Innovation for species-appropriate horse keeping
Since 2001, HIT Hinrichs Innovation + Technik GmbH has been developing and implementing the active stable concept for species-appropriate horse keeping in group housing. The company from Weddingstedt in Schleswig-Holstein plans active stables and active boxes for new builds and conversions and supplies the corresponding technical equipment: time-controlled hay dispensers, transponder-controlled feeding stations and selection gates, hay racks in element construction, as well as roof supports and gates for covering the feeding areas. The program is complemented by floor stabilization systems made of recycled plastic and rubber (HIT active stable mats, ground grids, elastic mats), horse beds with a permanently elastic foam core and water-impermeable rubber shell, as well as the underfloor riding arena irrigation system HIT-Active Aqua. The feeding systems are controlled via smartphone, PC or feeding computer and operate on 12-volt power, optionally with PV power supply. Customers include boarding stables, riding schools, breeding and rearing operations, sport horse stables and private keepers. More than 1,000 HIT active stables have been planned and implemented to date; since 2023, entrepreneur and horse breeder Dr. Andreas Jacobs has been an investor in the company.
