Hitachi Drives & Automation GmbH, based in Düsseldorf, is the German subsidiary of Hitachi Industrial Components & Equipment Ltd., Tokyo, and a pioneer in frequency inverter technology. Its core business is the sale of drive and automation technology components: frequency inverters, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI operator devices, three-phase standard motors up to 375 kW (IE2–IE4), industrial inkjet printers (CIJ) and CO2 laser coders. Beyond pure component sales, the company manufactures custom control cabinet solutions in sheet steel, stainless steel and plastic (IP55/IP66) – from planning through engineering with EPLAN to certified acceptance, documentation and commissioning. The service portfolio also includes system integration, project management, PLC programming (CODESYS V3, IEC 61131-3), service, assembly, fault diagnosis and repair. System control cabinets are tested and delivered with documentation; the frequency inverters of all power classes are approved according to international safety standards. Service and repair are handled by the Technology and Service Center in Lohmar.
