About HKK Bionics
HKK Bionics GmbH is a spin-off of Ulm University of Applied Sciences and develops and markets novel, active bionic orthoses. Its core product is the electric hand orthosis exomotion® hand one, which supports people with flaccid and spastic paralysis – for example after stroke, brachial plexus injury, multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury – in gripping. The company combines modern technologies, innovative concepts, state-of-the-art manufacturing methods and traditional orthopaedic craftsmanship into a compact high-tech product. Patient care is provided through a network of care partners, supplemented by on-site consultation. With the prototype of a children's hand orthosis, presented at REHACARE 2026, HKK Bionics is expanding the product family for smaller hands and arms; being a minor is no longer a contraindication. The company is based in Ulm and operates in the medical and rehabilitation technology sector.
