HMT Medizintechnik GmbH is a manufacturer-independent contract manufacturer of medical tube sets based in Maisach near Fürstenfeldbruck in Bavaria. The mid-sized family-owned company designs custom tube systems according to customer requirements, produces production samples based on CAD engineering drawings and assembles the sets from commercially available components such as tubes, connectors, reservoirs and caps. Production takes place exclusively in Germany in a Class 10,000 cleanroom under OR-like, hygienic conditions; the sets are then packaged and sterilized. Services also include materials management and component sourcing, warehousing and shipping throughout Europe, as well as documentation, certification and change management within the quality management system. Fields of application are cardiac surgery (heart-lung machine, cardioplegia), hyperthermia, arthroscopy, blood processing and various types of drainage. Since its founding in 1980, more than 1.5 million tube sets have been manufactured on behalf of customers.
