About HMU Campus Düsseldorf/Krefeld

The HMU Health and Medical University – Campus Düsseldorf/Krefeld is a private, state-recognized university and part of the IRO Group, headquartered in Potsdam. At the campus in the Düsseldorf Media Harbor, the state examination curriculum of Human Medicine (first study phase), the university degree programs in Psychology (B.Sc.) and Psychotherapy (M.Sc.), as well as the university of applied sciences programs in Sports Sciences Coach in Team Sports Football (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) are offered. All degree programs are free of NC (Numerus Clausus); student placement is handled through an individual procedure. In cooperation with Helios Klinikum Krefeld, the largest hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia by inpatient number, the second, clinical study phase of Human Medicine takes place at the clinical campus in Krefeld, as do seminars with clinical relevance from preclinical studies and optionally the practical year. The teaching is interdisciplinary and interprofessional, preparing students for activities in the healthcare and sports sectors. Studies began at the new location in the winter semester 2025.
