HOBDEE is a Munich-based supplier of the eponymous beer mug adapter, a small plastic clip that attaches under the handle of a beer mug. It makes holding the one-liter mug easier and marks it as one's own, available in various colors and markings. The product is made of food-safe, dishwasher-safe plastic with 30% recycled content and is fully recyclable. Manufacturing takes place in Europe; HOBDEE handles branding, customization, and distribution. The top side is printed either in 3-color pad printing or via 4-color UV digital printing on industrial film with company logos or existing designs. Customers include retailers, souvenir sellers, event providers, and companies using the product as promotional merchandise. In 2019, the adapter was sold at the Oktoberfest in five festival tents as well as in the official Oktoberfest online shop. Distribution is via parcel service from 48 units, and on pallets across Europe from 1,008 units; from 3,000 units, custom packaging is possible.
